I have lived in the Dade/Broward area since April 1986. I completed one and a half years of Electrical Engineering at the University of Arizona at Tucson. Sept. 6, 2005 to Oct. 11, 2012 I worked for ACR Electronics in Dania Beach, FL as Calibration Technician. I tested, repaired, and calibrated all types of electronic test equipment; including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, frequency counters, communication service monitors, digital and analog multi-meters and more. I also calibrated physical measurement devices including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pressure gauges, thermometers, hygrometers and scales. In addition, I did testing to ensure ACR’s products met or exceeded published specifications, assisted the Engineering Department in testing new product designs and built and maintained production line test fixtures. Apr. 18, 1995 to Sept. 2, 2005 I worked for Dockside Marine Electronics in Miami, FL. I installed and repaired all types of marine electronics, including; MF and HF SSB and VHF FM two way radios, depth finders, S and X band radars, GPS's, Lorans, auto pilots, intercoms, satellite telephones, satellite TV systems and full GMDSS systems. I also did Solas, FCC and GMDSS radio surveys and worked on the company web site. I completed seven years at Kimball Electronic Laboratory in Hialeah, Fl. My position was Calibration Technician. I tested, repaired and calibrated all types of electronic test equipment, including; signal generators, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, communication service monitors, digital and analog multi-meters, digital vector filters, function generators, video generators and monitors, and many more. I worked for two and a half years at Kevex Corp. in San Carlos, Ca. as an Electronic Test Technician. I tested and repaired computer controlled X-ray Spectrometers to component level. Included were analog, Z80 and Z8002 microprocessor, and DEC LSI-11 minicomputer circuits. I also designed circuitry for production line testing. I worked for three and a half years at Leasametric Corp. in Foster City, Ca. as a Calibration Technician. I tested, repaired and calibrated all types of electronic test equipment, including; signal generators, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, communication service monitors, digital and analog multi-meters, digital vector filters, function generators, video generators and monitors, and many more. I hold FCC GMDSS Radio Maintainer’s License # DM-GB-060606 and General Radiotelephone Operator License # PG-12-29087 with Ship Radar Endorsement; and an Extra Class Amateur Radio License, call sign: W6BXQ.
