Contact with the International

Space Station (ISS)

On October 19, 2008 at 21:29 UTC (5:29 PM EDT)

I contacted Richard Garriott, W5KWQ, on board

the ISS operating NA1SS, the Amateur Radio

Station on board, when it was above the Gulf of

Mexico just East of the Mexican coast.  On the

previous orbit I copied the following Slow Scan

TV (SSTV) picture that he sent for all to copy.

Eight months later I received the following in the mail.
